The new “Telecommunications and Technologies Center of Barcelona” (CTTI), Spain, has recently upgraded its installations with the use of DreamGlass® instant glass technology.

CTTI is a leading European Institute for Research, which focuses its main activity within the telecommunications industry. Partnering with ACXT and architect, Marc Casany, the institute was able to achieve brilliance with magic glass.

The CTTI is one of the primary locations for the Spanish Telecom Industry. The 3,500m2 project required the use of new and innovative technologies in order to achieve first class installations. The use of DreamGlass® smart glass panels, along with other high performing products, has allowed the CTTI to become a modern and trendy spot for negotiations, but also a reference point for the architectural community. This is all a result of the innovative applications, including those involving intelligent glass.

As you can see on the Demo Video each “box” (meeting room) has been fitted with DreamGlass® privacy glass panels, allowing users increased privacy at the flip of a switch. That luxury, afforded with electronic glass, is obviously very handy when negotiations are taking place. While the independent “boxes” are not in use, the DreamGlass® panels remain in transparent mode. Not only does the switchable glass improve the aesthetics of the space, it also allows others to know when a “box” is available.
